Traditional Okinawa martial arts, in particular karate, employs kobudo (weapons). One traditional weapon is a oriental farmer's transporting pole known as bo, a weapon of self-defense taught to karate students worldwide. Karate students from Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa and Tempe in the Phoenix valley also learn this weapon along with their karate lessons. Members learn several forms, applications & sparring with bo.
